Time flew by so fast, there’s now only two weeks left of March! I know this is way overdue but I wanted to wrap the previous month by listing all the things I loved and made me happy so here goes my February loves!
Sakura Koi Watercolor Pocket Sketchbox – This really should’ve been in my January favorites. I got this from Cesar as a Christmas gift last year – and it’s probably the best he has given me yet. I couldn’t put this down! Seeing as I’ve been spending my weekends painting and letting my creativity flow, this watercolor palette practically became my best friend. I love it! I feel so bad cause it looks so worn down now but the color payoff is beautiful!
NoSleep Podcast – We all know work can get a little too dragging at times so when I’m getting those kind of blues, I try to make my day more bearable by pulling out the NoSleep podcast! Considering the fact that I’m a total (self proclaimed) horror-junkie, I just put this on and pop my earphones and voila! It’s not as distracting as watching a video, which is good, and it really helps me a lot especially when I’m just editing and cleaning photos. Obviously, I wouldn’t recommend doing this when the task at hand requires a lot of focus!
Weird Mysteries Vol. II – As I’ve mentioned on my previous post, I got this book at the Big Bad Wolf book sale. The moment I opened the book, I fell in love with it instantly. The fact that the issues were originally published in 1953 – 1954 (the book itself is a reprint but other than that, I believe it’s almost the same) makes it so much cooler. Right after I finished it, I immediately tried looking where to get the first volume online as I couldn’t get enough of it. I need more weird mysteries!
iPhone 8 Plus – I upgraded to an iPhone 8 Plus earlier in the month of February. My iPhone 6 was having serious battery and screen issues so I knew I had to replace it. It has caused me so much stress in the past year, too! Anyway, I’m happy with my phone’s battery life and camera quality. The size upgrade still needs some getting used to but I love it!
Lucas Papaw – I know I’m kinda late on this papaw train but I’ve heard good reviews about this product for the longest time. I’m just mad I didn’t try this out sooner! I was trying to break in my new flats which caused me some nasty blisters, so I put some of this product on and – no shit – the blisters improved overnight. I was able to walk properly the next day and it didn’t hurt as much anymore.
Rose – This month my boyfriend surprised me with a rose! We’re not big on “special” occasions like this so imagine my surprise and glee when he greeted me with a red rose. I displayed this on my desk and it was such a pleasant thing to look at first thing in the morning. Thanks, Cesar!
Thanks for reading this far! I hope you’re having an awesome day 🙂
