Let me just put this out there: If you tell me you don’t know who Sixpence None The Richer is, chances are, I’m going to fucking judge you. Come on, Kiss Me? There She Goes? Don’t Dream It’s Over? I’d bet some coins (just coins, we’re broke here) you’ve probably heard those songs growing up.
I love ’em. I don’t know their entire discography but boy, oh, boy do their hits POP. Actually, one of the first songs I learned to play on the ukulele was Kiss Me. So when Ayala Malls announced that Leigh Nash, Sixpence None The Richer’s vocalist, is coming to Manila – I took the chance like my life depended on it.
Here are some some of the photos I took during the show:
Sixpence None The Richer started in 1992. I wasn’t even born yet! But I did grow up jamming to their songs thanks to my older siblings. I was (and still am) just happy to be able to experience their music, even though it’s not played by the entire band.
It was a quick show but she sang their hits There She Goes (100% my favorite), Kiss Me, and Breathe Your Name, and. Oh, and she also sang Dreams by The Cranberries as a tribute to Dolores.
Leigh Nash also performed some of her music – including my personal favorite: God Gave Me Horses. She’s a definitely a charmer.
After the show ended, I did some work errands and had dinner with my older sister and her friend at Chili’s. What a great way to cap the night off ♡
